The consistency is really thick and solid. The solid ingredient is pumice buffing beads that mechanically remove dead skin cells from the skin when rubbed. And what about the smell? It’s bad, very bad. The smell is like stale syrup and chemical. On the other hand, I can tolerate it as long as the product works.

First Aid Beauty – KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub 10% AHA For My Keratosis Pilaris After 30 Days Of Use

I used the product in the shower 3 times a week. Along with this, I used several different lotions, which I wrote about in another post here.

The smell is really bad, but it doesn’t bother me because the product works. Also, I used it in the shower and it washes off after a while of massaging so I don’t have to put up with the smell for long.
The texture is really solid compared to other body scrubs I’ve used. It’s not runny at all, I could probably make a sandcastle out of it if I had enough of it. Due to the thick texture, it’s also not the most gentle body scrub for the skin and you really shouldn’t rub it in hard.

I believe the product is an important part of my keratosis pilaris treatment. I got the best results together with Paulas Choice BHA lotion and AmLactin AHA lotion. I used these products on my right hand for 30 days. I got clear results and it reduced the bumps on my skin and helped remove dead skin cells effectively. The price is $3.5 / Fl Oz which is not the cheapest, but I think it’s reasonable for a quality product that works.
The picture shows the results.

Conclusion

The product has a strong smell, but it’s tolerable because it’s effective. It washes off easily after massaging in the shower. The thick, solid texture makes it unique but slightly rough on the skin, so gentle use is recommended. It effectively reduces bumps and removes dead skin. At $3.50 per ounce, it’s reasonably priced for its quality and results.
