I Tested CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream 10% Urea For My Keratosis Pilaris Treatment For One Month

According To CeraVe

SA Smoothing Cream is a moisturizer for dry, rough and rough skin on the body. It gently moisturizes and exfoliates dry, rough skin and helps strengthen the skin’s natural protective barrier. Contains three important ceramides, carbamide, LHA and salicylic acid.

The texture is really thick, yet the consistency is silky soft, probably one of the softest creams I’ve ever tried. I feel the texture is a little more “matte” than the normal version. It absorbs easily and doesn’t leave the skin sticky. The smell is mild and it doesn’t contain sulfates or fragrances.

Skincare Routine And Products Used In This Test

I used this cream every morning and evening to hydrate my skin after applying Effaclar Serum. I also used Frank Body Glycolic Body Scrub as a mechanical body exfoliant for 3 days a week.

Before / After Results For CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream 10% Urea

When I used the product together with the two products mentioned above, I got visible results in 30 days for my keratosis pilaris symptoms.

CeraVe SA Cream contains skin exfoliating ingredients such as salicylic acid, lactic acid and urea.
However, I do not believe that this product alone, or any single product in general, works effectively in treating skin symptoms like this.

In my own experience, the pros of the product are moisturizing, softening the skin and reducing redness. If you want clear results reducing keratosis pilaris, I also recommend using other skin exfoliating products at the same time, such as a body scrub for mechanical skin exfoliation.

As I mentioned in my previous CeraVe SA Cream review, I find this cream to be one of the best and most pleasant everyday moisturizers. It is thick but still silky soft, it absorbs fairly quickly and does not leave the skin particularly sticky.

CeraVe SA Cream is my top choice for moisturizing the skin. The brand is well-known and reliable, the product is of excellent quality, and I like its texture and smell. And most importantly, it is a really good value for money at only $4.46 / Ounce.

Conclusion After 30 Days Of Use

Products Used:

CeraVe SA Cream is one of my all time favorite skin moisturizers. I don’t think its properties alone are effective enough to treat keratosis pilaris. I recommend using at least a mechanical exfoliant with the product, and possibly another chemical exfoliant like I did.

However, it is a great product with excellent value for money from a reliable brand. If you like unscented, thick and soft creams, I highly recommend this product.
